Inventory and General Ledger

Nothing is posting from my inventory module through my general ledger.  We have never used the ERP system, I have set it up according to all the data out there, but when I create a Production Order, nothing moves in the GL.  And when I create invoices in AR no transactions post to the GL only the Revenue and AR accounts??
