Hi Sabir,
I think you've gotten some good solid advice from Coleen and Gopi. From my perspective I'll add a few more things. Moving from a system admin to a basis admin is definitely a viable option, as is moving in to a security role (although with security you do need to understand the functional side to a degree). But more important than getting trained up in a particular area is getting in the door at a company that runs SAP, or with an SAP consultancy. These days it is rare for a company to hire someone in to an SAP position just based on the fact that they are trained and/or certified. To get and SAP position you need to be able to demonstrate some work experience with SAP which obviously is a bit of a catch-22 if you are new.
Given that, I recommend getting in to a company running SAP in whatever capacity you can and then moving laterally. So by all means pursue a systems admin role if that is your interest but try like hell to get that role at a company running SAP. You can find a link to a website listing those companies in the appendix of my book.
Best regards,
John von Aspen
