if we are comparing HANA Live alone, i am able to see the differences clearly based on the points that have listed down on the link that you shared.
But when you have SAP Data Services to do the ETL part of things for HANA DB (with HANA live as the modelling application tool).
2 points raised here:
- For instance, if you want to do a snap shot for stock quantity change over a period of time, with the help of SAP data services we can easily create a data transformation that will generate a snap shot of stock quantity in a yearly, monthly, daily, or weekly manner.
- Additionally i was told that HANA Live (during next release) will be able to report on Hierarchy (the same type of hierarchy that BW using currently). Not entirely sure about this.
So Again, it's BW (on HANA) vs HANA Live (on HANA, with SAP Data Services).
i understand that they all suppose to complement each other.
but in the real world i have seen a few of cases where clients are tending to opt for HANA Live (on HANA, with SAP Data Services).
