Hi Wilfred,

 

The issue is Microsoft changed the name of the DB client dll, so that CR can use the correct client software you must design the report with the same DB client the users will be using.

 

They also changed the functionality of the clients, Like a lot of programs for backward compatibility MS does not support MDAC DB drivers on the new SQL Servers. It' snot something we can make work.

 

So it's not that CR has an issue, it's MS changed their supportability between the versions of SQL Server.

 

And you don't have recreate the report, simply using the Set Location option in the DB menu is all you need to do to update the report. Then Verify the DB and save the report.

 

Also note, CR for VS 2008 ( version 10.5 ) and lower are not aware of MS Client dll name change so to be fully supported use CR Developer for VS 2010/2012/2013 SP 9.
